Now’s your chance!

June 27, 2008

At Podcasters Across Borders last weekend, I made a pitch to try to encourage folks to join in the fray and start or contribute to episodes here. As it turns out, though I didn’t know it at the time (and was nervous enough not knowing so that’s a good thing), I was being filmed.

I’m working on some new and interesting ways for new and experienced podcasters to join in. Stay tuned for details.

Come on over to the google group and join in the discussion. Don’t be shy - go ahead and introduce yourself and just dive in. We’re all friendly people and love to help new folks get started. All you need is a microphone and an opinion.

The subject of this episode is Teachers who Influenced You:

And I am full of excuses both good and bad but will spare you all. Instead I will let you know that I actually have all the pieces for not one but two episodes and have been procrastinating on the writing of intro/outro text and editing. I know, it’s stupid and will take about an hour for both. This weekend, for sure.

Calling all contributors

February 2, 2008

Anyone who can record an audio file can contribute. And now that the group is moving off of facebook and over to ning, you no longer need to be on facebook to easily be a part of it. Click here to join the contributor’s group. Once you’ve become a part of the group your name will be added to the list of potential contributors. Not only that, if you’re inspired to start your own episode the process is exceedingly simple and you should be up and running about 5 minutes after you record.

Maybe next week…

January 27, 2008

No show this week as I’m sick with the stomach flu and am still waiting for a few more contributions for the shows I have in the works. Meanwhile, I need to get some more shows started. Question: Is anyone else interested in starting off another show? If so, what can I do to help? If you have an idea, go ahead and record it and send me an email at ‘todd tyrtle at quirky nomads dot com’ (no spaces in the domain name) for details as to how to get the files to me.
